...[snip]... Either way, you shouldn't be 'stealing' the plugin, period. ;)
I'm not stealing it... it's a freely available download from the website ;)

If Polo is charging for the plugin, and you are using it without having paid for it, you are stealing it... I'm not really sure how you can weasel around that one.

Anyways, I thought you were using atsanjose's plugin Steve_God with the two 'fixes' in that other thread. Are you instead using the nobreakspace plugin?

Re: nobreakspace

Polo actually has two versions, the FREE one available for download from his site, and another one which you have to pay for and can NOT access for free. This one has many more features and will continuously be updated by polo for as long as he can be bothered, or until there is nothing else worth adding.

We are simply using the FREE version, it no longer works because it is 'out of date', so we make it 'in date'.

There are NO terms and conditions that apply to this extension as far as I am aware, so I see nothing wrong with using every now and then

Re: nobreakspace

Ah I was under the impression that he had made it out of date so people would buy the new one. So long as he doesn't care, I guess I shouldn't.

Re: nobreakspace

Its interesting that he still has the links to it. You can still download the free extension from his site. I don't know why he hasn't removed the links...

Re: nobreakspace

My only question is how long it is going to take to get the code or whatever AFTER paying for it.

lol, im guessing you havnt tried in a while. YES you will have to pay to get the full version and one that works properly, but if you arent going to use it much, ie check income every now and then, maybe parse a few spy reports, you cant just set your clock back one year to 2007 everytime you want to use it. It will then work.

Edit: This could be considered stealing, depending on your morals.

Its free. there are two versions. If i can still download it for free then i dont think its stealing. There are no terms and conditions and the expiration date was never made clear to anyone.

But I do like this topic, different people have different opinions and you could argue yours from many angles and still never reach a conclusion :D

But I would say that if Polo was concerned at all he would remove the links ect. He knows some people do it. If he still makes it available he is obviously ok with it. If Polo isnt concerned then I guess its not stealing. But like you said, morals will affect your opinions, and i guess you could call it stealing, however i dont

I have nothing more to say on the topic, i have my opinion, and this time its not changing. However i invite you to give your reasoning :)

Re: nobreakspace

It is more than clear that it is NOT free timtadams.

You can DL it for free, but not use it. It's just that Polo still hasn't found a way to make this "turning the date back" thing not work.

sorry, but i could not help but reply as i am confused, aside from whether it is stealing ect blah blah blah, but i dont understand why polo would need to work out how to stop the date trick? Like i said, if he cared wouldnt he just remove the link? make it unavailable for download??? If he is trying to prevent people from using it then why leave it available for download??? When the only people that would want to use it are the ones polo doesnt want using it? Seems pointless to me

Re: nobreakspace

Can someone explain to me how the hell is turning back your computers clock making something stealing?
This is maybe most hilarious comment I have ever heard.

To rest of you... get firefox 2... you can run it forewer without expiring.
