I agree with CF. The forums have turned into one big flame fest that doesn't encourage new people to put forth ideas or anything interesting for fear of being ripped apart by the usual posters.
I am not sure what to suggest as a solution for this. Like the game of Bushtarion I think the forums just need more people who are enthusiastic and fun to talk with. The past few rounds have reduced the forums to nothing but alliance squabbles and finger pointing.
Maybe if we bring back global politics in-game we can clean out the forums

I think people should be limited to 1 forum post ever 10-30 minutes. It would cause people to think before they type, and maybe stop the useless flaming/spamming that happens to every decent post thats made. "/me tries to find a new alliance" Get me away from these flamers.

Meh. The forums arent what they used to be simply because of a combination of things.
Imo they include:
Smaller playerbase
Newer players not wanting to join in conversations because of previous batterings. (better now tbh)
Repetitive, nothing new happens anymore. Hard to keep threads interesting when the same stuff happens once every 2 and a half months.
