Anyone know what this means?

A friend who runs a forum has a problem with an error message that he doesn't understand. Figured there's plenty of people here that may be able to shed some light on it.

Database Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND USER_ID_CAT = AND approved = 1 AND ID_PICTURE < 160 ORDER BY ID_PICTURE DES' at line 1

It means nothing to me at all, any help appreciated

Might solve his SQL coding syntax.

Coding is utter ***** - Especially anything involving lots of people using it regularly (ie, forums).
