Hi all,

For any of you Linux/Ubuntu users out there, are there any essential programs/edits that you could recommend I do to make it as practical as possible for most webpages and files to work?

Eg: My most recent problem is that I've discovered hat I can't edit files on my external hard-drives , only view - but luckily I've found an edit where it makes it possible.

^^ That kind of thing.

Cheers guys! :)

Re: Ubuntu Essentials

If you get Firefox (think it's included?) you shouldn't really have any problems in accessing/viewing most webpages? It works the same across all platforms, with the exception of some keyboard shortcuts. I'd recommend you get VideoLan Client which supports pretty much every worthwhile media format out there.

Haven't used Linux myself for years (except server versions) so I'm a bit rusty, but those two apps should get you started.
