Revising?

I've got to the level of boredom and desperation where in order to justify wasting time on bush, I've discovered the FoxReplace add-on, which replaces text on a page with whatever you set it to. So I've replaced bush unit names with equations I need to know :D And ofc you could set it to be whatever it is you need to revise.

[close] 3,000,000 hostile -(h^2)/2m * d2w(x)/dx2 + V(x)w(x) = Ew(x) attacked, distracting 2,642,962 allied staff.
[close] 4,000,000 hostile bn = 1/pi (-pi int pi) f(t) sin(nt) dt attacked, distracting 18,554,030 allied staff.
[close] 1,500,000 hostile an = 1/pi (-pi int pi) f(t) cos(nt) dt attacked, disabling 151,445 allied staff.

Now I feel justified playing bush in exam period.

I also have no idea wtf my BRs mean.

LOL great idea. I have been feeling rather guilty of my bush playing as well :)

haha, are those laplace or fourier transformations I spy with my little eye?

If not, I do remember seeing them in my mathematical analysis (calculus in english I think) class last semester

EDIT: it appears to be neither of those, ah, enlighten me cfalcon :D

First one is the time independent Schrodinger eqn for a single particle in a fixed potential, and the other two are indeed to do with fourier, they're the coefficients in a fourier series

And I've found that you can replace text with images if you add the html tags <img src="image"> but that doing that can then bugger up certain things on the page like tooltips.

Another excellent discovery ;)

btw, have you noticed that you cant change the names of units on the overview page?

[edit]Juat a thought, If you want to add images, only add them to pages were you dont really need tooltips. Like the maintenance and supply depot pages. Ofc you dont have to be a genius to work this out, just in case the thought slipped ur mind ;)

[edit2]Hey CFalcon, i tried replacing with images, but all that happens is that the word im replacing just disappears and no image shows. Does it work for you?

[edit3]It works for online images, but when i try from my own computer is when it doesnt work. And i do the whole file path like so: <img src="file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/ect... .bmp">. Do you know how i need to change it?

It's to do with Firefox. Firefox by default doesn't allow websites access to your hard drive to prevent malicious activity; this can be remedied, however!

  1. Find your Firefox profile folder
    Full instructions can be found on the Mozilla KnowledgeBase

  2. Edit the users.js file
    Try to find a file called users.js within your profile folder. If there isn't one, right click on the folder window and selected New -> Text Document and just hit enter so it has the default name "New Text Document.txt". We'll sort this out later.

  3. Edit this file
    So, open up the new text document (or your existing users.js file) and type in the following:
    Code:
    user_pref("capability.policy.policynames", "localfilelinks");
    user_pref("capability.policy.localfilelinks.sites","www.bushtarion.com .bushtarion.com ");
    user_pref("capability.policy.localfilelinks.checkloaduri.enabled", "allAccess");

  4. Save your modifications
    If you had to create a new document, go to File -> Save As and type (including quotes) "users.js". This will force the system to save it with the .js extension (otherwise it will just save it as users.js.txt, which is wrong!)

  5. Restart Firefox
    Hopefully it should work!

Basically, this just allows the site www.bushtarion.com or any subdomain belonging to Bushtarion to load any links that point to anything on your harddrive.

Sorry Weebs but no luck. Did exactly that. It was easy to find the profile folder without link (since it was taking a bit to load ;)).

I added the js file (btw, did you know the quotes arent necessary? not for me at least). I copy pasted your code to ensure it was exact, restarted FF but it didnt work...

Not too worried though. Text is OK...
Thanks anyway, hope you didnt go to too much trouble :)

Managed to get it work on mine..
Make sure that the image file you are linking to is exactly as it is if you drag and drop the image into a new tab in Firefox... (except with backslashes instead of fowardslashes..)

Ie:
file:\\\C:\images\image_of_a_cat.jpg
Ensure that the "Replace HTML" checkbox is checked on the rule, and that the "Replace URLs" checkbox is unchecked.

Ctrl + F5 and it worked for me ^_^

Yeah, it was exact, i opened it in FF and copied the address to be sure. Like i said b4 i also did a html script with just the tag and it opened fine...

Doesnt matter, equations wouldve looked better, especially the fractions, but at least i can still add all those Greek letters and indices (Microsoft office symbols FTW) ;)

Oops... just noticed there's a slight error with the above instructions...

Firstly, change the code in that file to this:
Code:
user_pref("capability.policy.policynames", "localfilelinks");
user_pref("capability.policy.localfilelinks.sites","bushtarion.com www.bushtarion.com ");
user_pref("capability.policy.localfilelinks.checkloaduri.enabled", "allAccess");

Secondly, rename the file to user.js (ie the singular, not the plural)..
*that* should work! :p
