Send a forum message to Polo specifying the email you donated with and he'll reply with your key. Worked easily enough for me.
a) there is no hint on his website you need to post a forum message. all there is is a link to paypal.
b) have sent 2 account mails with no reply.
c) have, reluctantly, set up a forum account (and sent him a message) to get access to something that i have already paid for that i dont have to setup a forum account to get access to.
d) 24 hours from now i pass it onto the appropriate fraud squad and will post response here.
Well, let me put it this way to you. If you're going to take the high ground and be an arsehole about it, then two of us can play that game.
Nobreakspace is a piece of software created by Polo (and co. perhaps.) It's generally not a website you stumble across by chance and decide to donate money into, ergo, you're going to have found it via the forum or some manner of ingame connection. So, having established this connection, it's rather logical that a person wishing to receive his license key takes a few very simple steps to contact the person.
For all you know, Polo might not be playing this round and therefore not have seen his account mail. We can deduce that this is a possibility based on the fact you're obviously aware enough of the game to want the calculator and yet you are not in close enough contact with the person to speak with him on a personal basis.
So, the next logical step? Send a message to him on the forum where it is evidently clear he is active and explain the situation, leaving your email address so that is able to establish whether you have donated or not. You're not buying a product from Amazon, whereby you ought to expect a response, you're donating a small amount to fund the costs of a website so that Polo can try and get his product out and about into the community. I don't recall reading that he offers instant delivery, either, but then, I could be mistaken.
Please, don't be afraid to use a little common sense and decency and try to resolve this in an extremely simple and rational manner as opposed to spouting off nonsense about the "fraud squad" who, presumably, would tell you to contact Polo at the listed email address on his website. Not his account email.
It's not a big deal. You don't need to make it one.
It was certainly nice of you to not charge people who have contributed in the past.
