Ok more drunken wisdom after a night out got me thinking (after sending defense via a mate's iphone in a packed club)
AArsonists are still **** in an alliance...
..thieves are the usual land train whoring 3%ers, but arsonists could be taken from the game and no-one would even notice.
Make them into disabling guru type blockers.
Yeah we have terrors, yeah they kill flak, but who masses them?
Got dogs? great, mass em and help people with attacks and defence.
Got petrol bombers? great, be a formidable force in the early round.
Got arsonists? great, disable a few NLD but ultimately go unused/unrecruited.
Arsonists are NLT, this:
A) makes them die alot less as they are not targeted much.
B) are able to be much stronger, as they do not kill, and so can afford to do more or cost less.
Thug has bikers, they kill NLD fairly well (since the nerf) there are marines, VD, ALL targeters, why hqave yet another NLD targeter?
Arsonist fire quickly and are fairly cheap, yet they donot serve much purpose in the grand scheme of things.
Here is my suggestion:
Arsonist
Targets INN/NLD
Disables(all)
init: 180
ETA: 3
Low cost and low health/armour stats (PA will rape them like they do other NLT)
Have them get a good ratio against flak, similar to guru/terrors
Yeah thug will get another INN killer, but make them compliment terrorists, and be something people like to make use of in an alliance.
"Oh snap, we have shitloads of inc, get X online, we need his Arsonists to block with"
The thief route would then become an INN specialist route, giving it more appeal...
