All i can say is, what effect will this have on the bush room.
Will more people use mibbit now, or is it possible to keep redownloading every 30 days.

I've used IRC for like 7-8 years now, and this has never happened before:

ooo...didnt know it did that. My last copy i used for years and it just kept asking me to register, i'd wait the few seconds for "continue" to pop up and alls well!

Can you not just uninstall and re-install?

I hope it only does it after a crazy amount of days, my evaluation copy is a couple of weeks out of eval period. I just wont close IRC for as long as pos!

If your IE would expire you couldnt play bush anymore? If your windows would expire you couldnt use computer at all?

After all these years someone who has played that long and used IRC that long and then posts something like this.

IRC is internet relay chat which is multi platform. mIRC is one software to use IRC it is not only software, has never been and never will. For example theres no mIRC to Linux. Theres no mIRC to mobiles.

Yet both Linux and mobiles can connect to irc very easily. Get a life. Use the freaking google and if you cant even search 'mirc torrent' well your just idiot.

Lets see.
1. This guy has used IRC for 7-8 years now.
2. This is BUSHTARION discussion.
3. Topic is completely false, bushtarion doesnt have IRC, bushtarion is using netgamers irc server for its offical room. This is not netgamers forums or mirc forums, this is bushtarion forums and IRC and bushtarion are not connected.
4. He didnt ask for help, didnt post to help section, didnt post to computers section. He camed here and stated "what effect will this have on the bush room."

If he had at any point stopped to think for 2 seconds we wouldnt have this thread. 90% of people playing bushtarion have no idea what IRC is and how it works. When I recruited on last round people had hard times to even understand that IRC can have multiple servers. They thought that netgamers is only server there is.

These kind of threads are doing so much harm for people who are new and dont understand things, come here and read stuff like "what now". Using brains is not nesessary, but you get answered the way you make your threads. Also where you make your threads has a lot of impact to how your responded and how you name your threads is very big part of it.

If this would be on comp section, named "help my mirc doesnt work anymore" I would have posted something very different, now this is in BUSHTARION discussion named bush - IRC which is completely wrong place and completely falsely named thread from guy who has used 7-8 years of IRC and who has played this game for ages.


If hostility is stating facts and making the poster to realize what kind of BS he is posting, well then you guys might need to find out what hostile posting is. This guy could have fixed his troubles simply by spending the time he spent to taking screen cap and update it to uninstall/install of mirc, to find alternate option and install it, or just to go to suck his moms tit.
(That last part was real hostility for you)

I use mIRC. I happen to know many other people who use mIRC to access the Bushtarion Community (a large part of which is located on IRC). Twigley is here conveying his concern that people who use mIRC are going to lose out because of what appears to be an update to mIRC that has an evaluation timeout - something that wasn't there before. I too have scratched my head at the message shown in the screenshot, as I thought there was no limit on the evaluation period. mIRC is the #1 choice for a lot of IRC users, I myself would use IRC a great deal less if I couldn't use mIRC as its something I've used for years and am very comfortable with using.

Point being, BW, if you're incredibly frustrated by the contents of a thread - Don't post a response. Because quite frankly, nobody cares and you just make yourself look like a bear with a very sore head.

Blackwolf, Twigley is trying to start a discussion on the impact of mIRC not allowing usage of it beyond the trial period. 85% of the #bushtarion users use mIRC so this is very relevant to the bush discussions forum.

Twigley, this is easily fixed with a crack. I believe there a lot of cracks that can be found on the web via google, but if you can't you can always PM me and I will send you one.

Yeah maybe I am. But same way is someone who uses someones program which is and has always been shareware and which has stated you can use it for 30 days after that you MUST register it or delete it.

Then he uses it for 7-8 years and wonders how it got finally upgraded to not allow usage after 30 days period. I suggest you read licence agreement of mIRC which you agreed with when you downloaded and installed it.

If you install windows 7 beta and then next summer when it stops working you start to whine around how it doesnt work anymore and how you cant play bushtarion anymore... well you deserve to be called idiot. And everyone who think someone using others product which costs, without paying for it and then whining about it is not idiot... well you really should get your heads out of your asses.

Go ahead pirate everything you can. But dont go around whining when things doesnt work, or when free stuff which you should have paid for 7 years ago stops working. That is idiocracy. And for you who now say but you complain of polos tool the thing is very different. I have never been against his tool, I just think there should be 2 versions, stripped free one and paid one. Beside the point. Its always been the case that after the 30 days you can simply click "continue" (I believe this was intentional)

You now cannot.

This thread has nothing to do with bushtarion. mIRC is just a software to connect to netgamers IRC server on which channel bushtarion is at.

If we start to make posts to bush discussion of every freaking web browser, every mod, mirc software etc. there are, only cause those can be used to connect to bushtarion game that is just stupid.

IRC is a fundamental part of Bush - it provides functionality to connect all members of the community together, and is thus invaluable.

mIRC is the most popular way of connecting to IRC.

This isn't a computer related query. Its a discusson about the impact on the Bushtarion playerbase, now that you can no longer hit the "continue" button.

Thats about all there is to it.

IE is most popular webbrowser, yet if someone is having troubles with IE you would be among the first to post to use FF instead.

Wake up. mIRC is just software. It is not tied to bushtarion any way. Some breaking its EULA and using it for 7-8 years doesnt belong to bushtarion forums. Specially not under bushtarion discussion.

We are not talking of IRC here, we are talking of one individual software to connect to IRC. I couldnt give a rats ass if it stops working I just go and google for another software. As does every other smart person. There is also mibbit client to connect to netgamers directly from game. If there would be troubles with that I could understand this thread. but no this is about one software to connect IRC server.

Everyone who uses mIRC to connect netgamers must be smart enought to realize as there are multiple servers there must be other clients too. So how about you all "mirc is so awesome, now it doesnt work buuhuu" people pull your head out of your ass and start to use other software too. Just like you did with FF, Opera etc... hey there are other web browsers too than just IE... And there are other systems than just Windows... and there are other chipsets than just x86... wake up!

This mirc thing will have simply no impact at all to bushtarion as a game any way. Those who wants to connect can find their ways. They pay or find another software. Bushtarion is still same game and some mirc BS dieing doesnt change it any way. This theread is bollox and doesnt belong to this section of forums if to even whole forums at all.

You agreed that license when you installed mirc. So to put it simple by telling you have used mIRC fox x amount above 30 days evaluation your illegally using that software.
