The wonders of ALL targetting and using units like hippies/offs/paras as flak to push through SGTs combined with i imagine a fairly large sum of geos to render the yobs fairly worthless

with only 1.2m SGT, and all the other flak he has there, you didn't stop much.. they hit mostly lethals and his blockers.

You needed some hippies firing first to help with the flak clearing..

Layered blocking, Totally not overrated! :)

so how many hippies then? cause i did have 1m firing... and so im assuming now the whole reason was the yobs got screwed over by the hippys. and in response to twiglet, its not rage thread, but rather i wanted to know how the hell they got thru.

for example 1m spikes vs flak ratio 1:17, 1.5m sgt vs flak 1.5:25... now even with all the hippys there is disrupt my yobs (yobs targetting NLD/INN) so assuming only 30% of them fired on inn, that still leaves about 1m flak or roughly 100k geo to be distracted.

i dunno, just woulda assumed that would have been enough to stop only 20m flak and the geo.... putting aside all the rest of the mob

where is your nose

cant you see it there :eek: its under his mouth... its rude to point out ppls disabilities, it makes ppl sad and angry and thus you end up with ppl like twiglet (on a side note: never realised but twiglet rhymes with piglet) :p

thats why i only accounted for about 30% of my yobs firing on flak... unless ive been deluded this entire time ive played. i mean even tho yobs fire nld/inn... even if there is nld left doesnt it still target some inn?

I'll break down exactly what happened here.


[close] 1,000,000 allied Spike Trap impaled and killed 17,299,278 hostile staff.

traps target ALL, so they're mostly killing gardeners. 1:17 is just about the most spikes can manage on flak (considering some of their firepower has been siphoned off onto hippys/paratroopers), so they haven't taken out all of the gardeners. Geos will be too well flakked at this point for spikes to touch them.

[close] 957,131 allied Hippy attacked, distracting 671,543 hostile staff.

There are still some gardeners left, so hippys are just hitting gardeners. Again, about 1:0.7 is standard for hippys, so they haven't completely finished off the gardeners either. They will have hardly scratched the geos at all.

[close] 3,592,326 hostile Hippy attacked, distracting 4,045,246 allied staff.

Hostile hippys hitting your gards + yobs + traps. I'd estimate they distracted 6-700k yobs there.

[close] 1,292,183 allied Sleeping Gas Trap attacked, disabling 3,504,156 hostile staff.

SGTs target ALL, so they're hitting hippys, paratroopers, officers + the remaining gardeners. 1:3 is well below SGTs maximum ratio on flak, so it's at this point we can say all the attacking gardeners have been taken out. They may have taken out 50-100k geos, 'cos the flak has been thinned out at this point.

Yobs are firing on hippys and geos. Yobs get about 9:1 on geos, so at the very most they'll disable 350k geos there.

I've been playing 27 rounds and I have only just realised yobs target NLD/INN rather than INN/NLD. Thank you for educating me :p

i cba to look but i thought someone said that look at the valuation of disabled and that there must have been a ton of flak... i was sayin that the valuation was due to the hippies.

if that's not what was said then my statement is just extra fluff for nothing :)

yeah what CF said, in this case more hippy wudn't do jack. They can sometimes help strip innocents (geo) through other flak layers. but in this case:

spikes killed 17m leaving 8m (5m of which, were not innocent, irrelevant) 8m left. 1.2m SGT could stop like 12m-20m gardeners easily! so plenty enough to mop up the remaining innocents

therefore only possible problem was the yobs. not sweeping all the geos, your'll be fine once you get hacks
