Notifications and hacking an alliance

For some reason i have one notification for unapproved visitor messages.

I click on it and it takes me to my profile page with a couple of messages. I dont know what this means, but the notification does not go away, help please?

On another note, i was hacking alliances, and for some reason i could not hack or spy 'walkers inc'. I type 'AHQ!walkers inc' into the text box but when i try spy/hack it acts like it is an invalid ID???

[edit] interestingly, the notification has disappeared...

[edit2] It seems this problem is occurring for more than the one alliance

btw, could anyone else confirm they are having this problem?
