I noticed this earlier in the round too but didn't post about it, but I've just seen it again so thought I would post. I don't know whether it's a hidden bonus or a bug or anything but here it is..

[close] 4,518,369 hostile Small Droid made some funny beeps and disabled 690,023 allied staff.
[close] 69 hostile Mummy attacked, killing 23 allied staff.
[close] 33,601,594 allied Dragon breathed fire on and melted 94,734,996 hostile staff.
[close] 14 hostile Zombie ate the brains of 10 allied staff.
[raised] 5 Zombie rose from the dead.

Despite there being a lot of "hostile" LETs there, none of the golems were targeted. I saw this earlier in the round when there were 15m golems - again, none of which were targeted by PoMs or LETs.. can anyone shed some light?

Those were my Attack Dogs. They all died, I want compensation for the ones the golems killed...

Could be a bug, but when you look at the number of Dragons present, flakking the golems it could also be that it was 5.5m golems to start with, and that you killed exactly enough to round it down to 5m. Did you note how many mummies he had to start off with?

The attack wasn't on me; I wasn't even involved in it. But rounding down to an even number is very highly unlikely, and it happened in a BR that I was involved in earlier in the round, I'll see if I can find some logs, because in that one there were 15 million golems before the tick and I know there weren't enough other LETs there to prevent them from being targeted.

I'll see if I can find a log of the BR, I'm pretty sure I posted it in IRC but it'll take a fair bit of looking.

Edit: Found it!

[17:06] <Ahead> you dont think its weird that the poms didnt distract a SINGLE golem..
[17:06] <Ahead> not 1..
[17:06] <Ahead> they all fired

Evidence ^ It only happened on last tick that time.. if it's a hidden bonus can we please make these sort of things public? It's pretty BS if a certain unit is invincible last tick :p

I have many BRs in which I kill iron golems at close tick. You wanna mass iron golems and relly on a bug? Be my guest.

Iron Golems are created by magical beings, and have some magical effects themselves, once every blue moon... (it's no bug!)

Ok, can you at least confirm whether it's random or if there is actually a pattern as to when they are invincible? :p

Maybe they're invincible @ night while being in the close battle tick?

To be honest, I think these hidden bonuses should be made visible. Things like this are not benefical to a route because you just don't know when they are going to happen or what they even are in most cases. It just adds further confusion for players, more randomness to battles (which are already sufficently kept hidden from us).

I assume these 'hidden' bonuses add to the units cost? I would rather see the units dropped in cost, and the bonuses removed than have a situation akin to paying 5% more for somthing, but not being told what that is for, how it works, what it does or when it will happen. Hell, you don't even know your paying 5% more at the time - until somthing happens, sometime. That you may not even notice. (Aside - sounds a hell of alot like VAT).

This game doesn't need to be any more difficult for new people to get into - let alone when somthing like that occours :p At least tell people that these units have hidden bonuses, because if people don't read the forums they will have no idea what the hell is going on when things like this happen.

Anyone got any other hidden bonuses so far to report? WW do alot more damage at night, golems seem invunerable at random intervals, vampires sometimes get obscenely high kill ratios (I got 1:3 or somthing on TL's, seen other BR's of similar stuff), they convert better at night too? Anymore?

If your of that view, then tell people they have somthing to find in the manual or unit description at least. This will, at a minimum, arouse curiosity.

I do like the quirky hidden bonuses. There's not many of them (or is there ;)) and it makes things a bit more interesting for those that have been around a while. Once you've been around a while you can almost work out exactly whats gonna happen in a BR (if your good, unlike me :D).

Fair enough - if you want to keep them into keep the more experienced players on their toes, I can understand that.

However, in order to not confuse the hell out of relatively new people we should tell them that 'these units have hidden bonuses' without disclosing what those bonuses actually are or do, at a very minimum.

No Way!

Hidden bonuses FTW!

Makes it much more interesting, adds a bit of mysticism to the game, i like it. More hidden bonuses i say!

[edit] turnip, if you dont know about hidden bonuses, how is that going to confuse someone? And nice or bad outcome wont confuse a new player cause they wont know what is good or bad at the start.
