hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm alizeeee

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :) :) :)

Alizee is just great. I remember us constantly talking about her in the ally channel last round, she is a former winner of the french version of Music Idol? I think she even gave up her career as a singer because of her husband... what a damn lucky guy...

Another favourite song of mine is La Isla Bonita, not by Madonna.

Not even going to mention Moi Lolita

I feel like a peado... back then when those videos were shot she was underaged (2001).

You have sent me a link to them before or something...I cant remember when and that background doesn't look familiar (although it looks fantastic!). I agree with you, they are incredible- I wish I knew Italian- and I wish they were singing so passionately to me! *Sigh* I think when they all got up and started walking forward while singing in unison that they were coming to get me. :p

*swallows the 4 Italian singers and incorporates them into my whole* :p

Shrug, not bad. But a little...boybandish for me :p

If you like that song I can't recommend the Jeff Buckley version enough, this man was awesome, great guitar player and singer. Shame he died so young.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AratTMGrHaQ <-- Much better imo

While we're on the subject of Jeff Buckley, heres a few more of his songs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7m7zXRUo6ZE <-- Dream Brother, probably my favorite of his songs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=siNsgbIWhAQ <-- Grace, another classic.

Il Divo? Lol... i'd prefer to gouge out my lower intestine with a rusty spoon from the third rib down on the leftside of my ribcage.

I prefer Mattheus' version :) Although i find the song too tightly tied into 'The OC' so it's rather ruined for me. Not that the OC didn't already ruin my brain but that's beside the point ;)

Hallelujah song is fruity anyways.

Tiff, I've sent you the Jeff Buckley version before (Mattheus - I believe I have linked to it previously in this thread - and I agree, such a loss when he died). Very few people mention the original, sung by the guy who wrote it - the incomparable Leonard Cohen :)

Not wanting to burst your fantasy Tiff, but Il Divo are made up of an American, a French man, a Swiss, and a Spaniard - formed by Simon Cowell - and they are singing in Spanish ;)

Andrea Vadrucci: a drummer who specializes in taking usually non drum related songs and giving them a drum centrepiece. This is the drum version of the Barber of Seville Overture by Rossini. He's got great drum skills!

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=i6Y6snqBdcE

So much ****/cheesiness was being posted i felt compelled to post good ole Rod Stewart; besides which this song pwns, as do all the articles of clothing he wears in the vid/pics.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=a_sAunLs4sw

Jim Croce: a bluesy/folk singer who rocks the house with this version of 'You don't mess around with jim'. Solid blues/folk tune. Awesome.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6s8Mmc69C ... re=related

Some terrific Nashville Tennessee flatpickers: Josh Williams, Andy Falco, Chris Eldridge all rip through a version of the bluegrass masterpiece the 'Cherokee Shuffle'. Just a sick bluegrass tune in a sweet live performance.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eXQf0JG8Uj8

A song ranting about cars by Jerry Reed; one of the best pickers and bluegrass songwriters/players for the last 50 years. Anything by him is fantastic but this song in particular is funny and applies to today as much as it did when he wrote. It's called 'Lord Mr. Ford'

LMAO. My father taught me that if you are going to make a mistake, to make it loud. He would be so proud of me;) The one guy really does look Italian though...definitely a mobster and likely a bookmaker.
